Abstract

The learning process tends not to pay attention to students, especially in the learning style aspect. Therefore, research on the application of differentiated learning is to find out whether there is an increase in students' physics learning outcomes in sound wave material in class XI MAN Binjai. The type of research used is quasi-experimental and the research design is two group pretest and posttest. The population in the research were all class XI students at MAN Binjai, totaling 140 students. The research sample was taken using a cluster random sampling technique, namely class XI MIA 3 as the experimental class and XI MIA 4 as the control class, each with 35 students. The instruments used are a multiple choice test containing 15 questions that have been validated, student activity observation sheets, hypothesis testing to see differences and effect size to see whether there is an influence. The results of the effect size test obtained a value of 0.55, which is included in the medium criteria. So it can be concluded that differentiated learning has an influence on improving students' physics learning outcomes in sound wave material for class XI MAN Binjai.
