Abstract

This research aims to develop HOT-based instructional multimedia on rotational dynamics and analyze its feasibility in terms of appropriateness, practicality, and effectiveness. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) utilizing the ADDIE model. Data collection techniques include feasibility questionnaires, student responses, and learning outcome tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests. The research was conducted through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects of this research include two physics lecturers and a physics teacher as validators, as well as students from class XI MIPA 1 at SMAS Eria Medan. The research results show an average feasibility percentage of 85.9%, categorized as feasible. The practicality of the multimedia received an average percentage of 85.6% in the small group test and 87.8% in the large group test, categorized as practical. The effectiveness of the multimedia is demonstrated by the students' average score of 84 and an average N-gain score of 0.6. The multimedia is effective in improving student learning outcomes to meet or exceed the predetermined KKM score of 75. The effectiveness level of HOT-based instructional multimedia on rotational dynamics is deemed feasible, practical, and effective.
