Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how laboratory-integrated problem-based learning models affect students' proficiency in light wave physics at Prayatna Private High School in Medan. The study used a two-group pretest-posttest design and a quasi-experimental methodology. Only students in class XI IPA made up the study's population. Two classes—class XI IPA 1 as an experimental class and class XI IPA 2 as a control class with traditional learning—made up the research sample, which was acquired via a straightforward random sampling procedure. In Class XI IPA 1, an integrated problem-based laboratory learning paradigm is used to teach the experimental course. Traditional learning is used in the control class, Class XI IPA 2. This instrument is used to assess problem-solving skills.
